The blend on the 2008 Maximus is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 14% Syrah, and 4% Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with bright aromas of dark cherry, blueberry and cassis. On the palate, the wine displays flavors of rich blackberry, bing cherry and mocha.
